W,E NVM Lets Create Action

In “How to Do things with words,” Austin argues that an “utterance” of speech can create an action. In todays world, people use words to avoid confrontation or use them to stir up conflict. For example, the use of nvm or never mind. The words never mind is an utterance of speech that allows people to avoid conversation. Although, sometime saying never mind purposefully can lead to negative effects, especially over im or text when the nvm can be taken out of context. Another example is the use of w,e or whatever. High school teenagers and college students use and abuse this word. It has become a trendy, cool way to show that you don’t care. Yet, uttering w,e to a partner can lead to a pointless argument. People use this words in many different aspects. This two words have become a type of “nonsense” that Austin is arguing.

I would love to hear your opinion on these words.
Please let me know what you think...
