Paper Abstract

Hey, I missed Tuesdays class and while i know what is involved in a annotated bibliography, i was wondering if someone could tell me what the paper abstract is? what exactly we have to do for that?

  1. Hey Ethan,
From my understanding from Tuesday, the paper abstract is a summary of your entire paper in one paragraph(which implies, crazily enough, that by Thursday you basically need to know what you are going write in your paper and roughly how you are going to write it). In a sense it is an outline in paragraph form. Don't be deceived by the "outline" assignment for Tuesday; that is more like taking your abstract and breaking down each sentence/point into a paragraph (Claudia said a minimum of 8). So the outline is like a very disjoint, extremely rough draft of your paper. I am telling you this because you might already be thinking about starting the outline too, as it is quite a bit to do.
    Take care,
    Taylor
